This year’s edition of High End Munich was a great success in many ways and as always attracted the attention of audio enthusiasts from all over the world. It marked both the end and the beginning of an era. For High End Munich it meant the end of Munich as home town, and the beginning of Vienna as its successor. For Ferrum it meant celebrating three very successful shows in Munich, culminating in the introduction of a technology that marks reimagining the way our flagship family of DAC’s can be used to control your music.
| We decided to go out (of Munich) with a bang. We designed our booth with our well known Polish hospitality in the centre, giving the Ferrum family of people and products the platform they deserve. We presented the complete range of Ferrum products to the public, with our EISA award winners HYPSOS, OOR and WANDLA in the spotlights, demonstrating them with an impressive line up of top headphones to give our visitors a chance to relax and enjoy good music on our great gear. |
Our moment of glory was the introduction of WANDLA’s latest 2.0.0 firmware update, which comes with a breakthrough functionality called Ferrum Streaming Control Technology (FSCT). Some people thought we were introducing a new WANDLA, but in fact this firmware update elevates all WANDLA’s (the original one, the Golden Sound edition and WANDLA HP) to new heights. Apart from the other new features the update offers WANDLA users, FSCT brings something absolutely new and unique, not only displaying your streamer’s information, but also the ability to control your streamer via WANDLA’s touch screen and WANDLA’s remote. A function no other DAC offers at this moment.
