There are two shows on the horizon where you can see, touch and listen to our latest Ferrum products. Major happening is the pre-release of our first streaming product called BROEN.
BROEN is a network streaming transport. With the tagline ’This is not a streamer… It’s a work of art’ we play to the imagination of what high-end streaming should be. Our streaming story started with the recent firmware update WANDLA 2.0.0 which included our Ferrum Streaming Control Technology. This tech transformed our WANDLA family of DACs to streaming companions for a wide range of streamers. But we always had BROEN in the back of our minds thinking up this tech.
BROEN needed to be more than just any streaming device, we wanted it to be class defining. We set out to explore new grounds (or streams), by offering the best possible digital gateway we could imagine. Hence the name, which comes from Danish and means bridge. We had tot get back to the drawing board to create a multitude of great features. For starters we redesigned our SERCE module from scratch to operate exclusively in the digital domain thus creating a new heart for BROEN. And the list of innovations goes on and on. One of the biggest advantages of BROEN is its upgradeability. The first major upgrade is connecting it with one of our WANDLAs. Because of FSCT you can now control BROEN via WANDLA’s touchscreen and remote, creating a powerful streaming DAC/preamp combination, optimized for each other. Another upgrade is combining it (or both) with HYPSOS to get the ultimate flagship Ferrum streaming option. For optimal reliability BROEN is Powered by Volumio, known for its streaming optimized software, with more than half a million users. We simply could’t have made it any better and look at BROEN as a real work of art.
Our plans are to release BROEN during Q1/Q2 2026 but wanted to give you a heads up what we have been cooking up in our audio labs for some time now. In order to offer you the best possible proposition, the price remains TBA until further notice. We will keep you in the loop on BROEN’s updates soon!
